PDC bit (fixed cutter) รู้จักหัวขุดเจาะหลุมน้ำมัน ใน 2.5 นาที – ต่อจากภาคแรก (rock bit) อย่างที่เกรินไว้ในตอนที่แล้ว rock bit มีส่วนที่เคลื่อนที่ได้ (moving parts) คือ cone มันหมุนได้ มีตลับลูกปืน (bearing) ต้องอัดจารบี บลาๆ

ดังนั้น roller cone bit (rock bit) จึงมีแนวโน้มจะเจ๊งง่าย รุ่นหลังๆมาเราจึงมี PDC bit ที่ไม่มี moving parts ออกมาให้ได้ใช้งานกัน
