Heriot Watt Scotland budget ประเมินค่าใช้จ่ายการเรียน – เป็นโพสต์เก่าเมื่อปี 2011 ครับ ตัวเลขอาจจะไม่ใช่แล้วในปีนี้ แต่ก็อ่านไว้เป็นแรงบันดาลใจ เพระาถึงตัวเลขไม่ใช่ แต่แนวคิดวิธีคิด และ กำลังใจ ยังเหมือนเดิมครับ
น้องสาวคนสวย (ชื่ออะไรไม่บอก) ตอนนี้กำลังเรียนที่ Heriot-Watt อยู่ที่ Scotland สาขาด้าน Petroleum Engineering เอาประเมินค่าใช้จ่ายในการเรียนและอยู่กินที่โน้นมาฝาก เผื่อเป็นแนวทางเตรียมหยอดกระปุกพวกเรานะครับ

ประเมินค่าใช้จ่ายการเรียน
ค่าใช้จ่ายนะคะ หน่วยเป็นปอนด์ค่ะ (ไม่ได้รวมค่าใช้จ่ายสำหรับการมาเรียนภาษานะคะ)
1. ค่าเรียนทั้งปี 20500 ปอนด์ อันนี้รวมหนังสือหมดแล้วนะคะ ไม่ต้องเอาอะไรมาเลย ทางคณะยังมีเครื่องถ่ายเอกสารปริ้นงานอะไรให้พร้อม เครื่องคิดเลขยังมี ให้ (เพิ่มเติมเรื่องค่าเรียนซักนิด มีข่าวออกมาว่าทางมหาวิทยาลัยเพิ่มค่าเรียนทุกปี เพราะฉะนั้นที่ xxx ให้อาจจะใช้กับของปีหน้าไม่ได้นะคะ)
(พี่นก – อันนี้เป็นข้อมูลปี 2011 ดังนั้น ถ้าใครจะไปเตรียมไว้เลยว่าขึ้นค่าเรียนปีล่ะ 7-10%)
2. ค่าที่อยู่ xxx อยู่หอของมหาวิทยาลัยห้องนอนเป็นของเราเอง แต่ห้องน้ำแยก ครัวรวม ก็แชร์กันกับคนอื่นอีก 4-5 คน อาทิตย์ละ 84 ปอนด์ ถ้าอยู่ข้างนอกอาจจะหาได้ถูกกว่านี้หรือแพงก็นี้ อันนี้ก็ขึ้นกับดวงและฝีมือ แต่ก็ต้องคำนึงถึงค่าเดือนทางไปกลับ นักเรียนที่อยู่หอข้างนอกจะซื้อตั๋วเดือน ไปกลับเท่าไหร่ก็ได้ เดือนละ 40 ปอนด์ ส่วนถ้าอยากได้ห้องน้ำรวมแต่เป็นหอมหาวิทยาลัยก็มีนะคะ เดือนละประมาณ 105 ปอนด์
3. ค่ากินอยู่ อันนี้ยังประมาณของตัวเองไม่ได้ทีค่ะ เพราะเพิ่งมาใหม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายจิปาถะโน่นนี่เยอะมาก งั้นxxxแยกเป็น 2 ส่วนนะคะ เป็นค่าตั้งตัวกับค่ากิน
3.1 ค่าตั้งตัว ซื้อหม้อซื้อไห หรืออะไรต่างๆที่ใช้ได้ทั้งปี ไม่น่าเกิน 100 ปอนด์
3.2 ค่ากิน อันนี้แล้วแต่คนเลยค่ะ ของxxxจะพยามจำกัดไม่ให้เกินอาทิตย์ละ 15 ปอนด์
4. ค่าเดินทาง เนื่องจากอยู่หอในมหาวิทยาลัยอยู่แล้วจึงไม่มีส่วนนี้นะคะ แต่จะเข้าเมืองไปเจอความเจริญทีก็ ไปกลับประมาณ 3 ปอนด์
5. ค่าเที่ยวกลางคืน อยู่ที่นี่มีปาร์ตี้บ่อยค่ะ อันนี้คงแล้วแต่คน แต่ครั้งหนึ่งรวมค่าเดินทางแล้ว ไม่น่าเกิน 20 ปอนด์ ยกเว้นจัดหนักจริงๆ
6. ค่าเสื้อผ้ารองเท้า อันนี้ก็แล้วแต่คนเหมือนกันค่ะ อากาศที่นี่ค่อนข้างเย็นถึงเย็นมาก xxx เตรียมตัวมาไม่พร้อมก็มาเสียตรงนี้เยอะเหมือนกันค่ะ

Petroleum engineering is a field of engineering concerned with the activities related to the production of hydrocarbons, which can be either crude oil or natural gas.[1] Exploration and production are deemed to fall within the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry. Exploration, by earth scientists, and petroleum engineering are the oil and gas industry’s two main subsurface disciplines, which focus on maximizing economic recovery of hydrocarbons from subsurface reservoirs. Petroleum geology and geophysics focus on provision of a static description of the hydrocarbon reservoir rock, while petroleum engineering focuses on estimation of the recoverable volume of this resource using a detailed understanding of the physical behavior of oil, water and gas within porous rock at very high pressure.
The combined efforts of geologists and petroleum engineers throughout the life of a hydrocarbon accumulation determine the way in which a reservoir is developed and depleted, and usually they have the highest impact on field economics. Petroleum engineering requires a good knowledge of many other related disciplines, such as geophysics, petroleum geology, formation evaluation (well logging), drilling, economics, reservoir simulation, reservoir engineering, well engineering, artificial lift systems, completions and petroleum production engineering.
Recruitment to the industry has historically been from the disciplines of physics, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering and mining engineering. Subsequent development training has usually been done within oil companies.
