แต่ไม่ว่าจะอย่างไร เขาก็ทำงานเหมือนกันคือ เขาจะมาพร้อมกับปั๊มตัวใหญ่ๆคู่ใจ ผสมซีเมนต์แล้วปั๊มลงหลุมครับ

ซีเมนต์ไปเกี่ยวอะไรกับหลุมปิโตรเลียม ตำแหน่งนี้รายได้ดีไหม

เรามีซีเมนต์ไว้ยึดท่อกรุให้ติดกับชั้นหิน กั้นไม่ให้อะไรก็ตามไหลข้ามไปข้ามมา

วิศวกรขุดเจาะ จะออกแบบคำนวนมาให้เสร็จสรรพว่าต้องการให้มีซีเมนต์ชนิดอะไร แค่ไหน ตรงไหน อัตราแข็งตัวอย่างไร คุณสมบัติต่างๆทางเคมี ทางฟิสิกส์เป็นยังไง รวมไปถึงขั้นตอน”หลักๆ”การปั๊มซีเมนต์ ทั้งหมดจะอยู่ในโปรแกรมการขุดเจาะ (Drilling Program)

Cementer กับ Company man ก็จะเอาโปรแกรมนั้นมาทำให้เป็นจริง ผสมซีเมนต์ให้ได้ตามสูตร เขียนขั้นตอนอย่างล่ะเอียดตามสภาพเครื่องมือและการใช้งานของอุปกรณ์บนแท่นฯหน้างงานจริงๆ

แล้วปั๊มลงไปตามที่คำนวนไว้ ทั้งปริมาตร และ อัตราการปั๊ม (จะสังเกตุว่า วิศวกรขุดเจาะเขียนขั้นตอนการปั๊มแบบคร่าวๆหลักๆใหญ่เท่านั้นลงในโปรแกรมการขุดเจาะ ไม่ได้ลงละเอียด เพราะรายละเอียดหน้างานจะแตกต่างกันไปแล้วแต่ชนิด รุ่น ประเภท ปั๊มที่มีหน้างาน ระบบท่อต่างๆ และ แท่นขุดฯที่ใช้)

ส่วนมากเป็นลูกจ้างประจำของ บ.service

เวลาทำงาน

21/21 หรือ 28/28 แล้วแต่บ. เนื่องจากงานปั๊มซีเมนต์นั้นไม่นาน ทำตอนที่มีงานเท่านั้น จึงไม่ต้องทำงานเป็นกะ กะล่ะ 12 ชม.เหมือนงานอื่น แต่จะทำงานตัวเองไปจนจบ

สำหรับงานปั๊มซีเมนต์ใหญ่ๆ หรือ มีปัญหา อาจจะปั๊มกัน ทำงานกันติดพันเป็นวันๆก็เป็นไปได้ครับ ซึ่งกรณีเช่นนั้น ก็สามารถมี 2 คนได้ เพื่อพลัดกันไปพักบ้างไรบ้าง

รายได้

ถ้าเป็นลูกจ้างประจำก็ว่ากันไปตามระดับเงินเดือนของบ. คนไทย เงินบาท วิศวกรเด็กๆก็น่าจะเดือนล่ะ 5 หลักกลางๆ สวัสดิการต่างหาก ก็ว่ากันไป บ.ใครบ.มัน ถ้าอาวุโสหน่อย และ สามารถทำงานซีเมนต์ที่ยากๆและซับซ้อนได้ เช่น หลุมน้ำลึก หลุมร้อนมากๆความดันสูงมากๆ หรือ เทคนิคที่ต้องปั๊มซีเมนต์เป็นชั้นๆ (multistage cemeting) ค่าตัวก็จะหกหลักขึ้นไปเลยทีเดียว

วุฒิการศึกษา

ปวส. – ป.ตรี โดยมากจะเครื่องกลครับ แต่ก็เห็นนักธรณีบ้าง ไฟฟ้า โยธา คอมฯ วัดคุม ก็เห็นนานๆที เนื่องจากงานหลักๆคือการใช้งานปั๊มขนาดใหญ่ (ขนาดตัวเท่าวัวควายตัวโตๆ) การซ่อมบำรุง เครื่องต้นกำลังของปั๊มก็เป็นเครื่องยนต์ดีเซล ดังนั้น คนที่มีพื้นเครื่องกล หรือ ช่างยนต์ จะเหมาะที่สุดกับงานนี้

ความก้าวหน้า

ถ้ายังอยู่ในบ.service ต่อ โดยมากก็ไปเป็น วิศวกรผู้ประสานงานกับลูกค้าบนฝั่ง (coordinator) แล้วก็เป็นผจก.ไป ไรไป ตามโครงสร้างงานของแต่ล่ะบ. ถ้าอยากเปลี่ยนสายงาน ก็สามารถไปเป็นวิศวกรขุดเจาะได้ แต่ก็ต้องไปเรียนรู้ส่วนต่างๆเพิ่มเติมเอาทีหลัง(เหมือนผมนี่แหละครับ แต่ผมมาจากสาย wireline logging ไม่ใช่สายปั๊มซีเมนต์ แต่ที่เหมือนกันคือผันตัวมาจากบ.service)

ข้างล่างนี้ก็ตลกๆขำๆประชดประชัน จิกกัด กันพอหอมปากหอมคอครับ

CEMENTER – Has to call his office to figure every job. Does his very best to work the entire job without having to get on his unit. Gets more sleep than anyone on the rig and constantly worries about gaining weight and when his relief is going to show up. His primary job is to tie down the satellite dish when the winds pick up.

Job Description

• Discuss the cementing program with Company cementing engineer and liaise with Cement Service companies and request cement composition and calculates volume and chemicals required to ensure conformity with the cementing section approved procedure, standard and specifications.
• Prepare the logistic plan and follow up with shipping and operations groups, in order to make sure all chemicals, blends and equipment are available on the rig. Principal Accountabilities
• Audits cementing job on site and make sure that the operation goes as per Company standard and procedure. Report HSE or quality violations related to cementing jobs and propose action plan and follow up until closure. Prepare a post job cement report and discuss it with the cementing section
• Reviews on a daily basis the upcoming operations on each Company rig and discuss with Company cementing Engineer the cementing program and understand the objectives and success criteria of the cement job.
• Coordinates with Company cement Engineer, the cementing service companies and shipping as well as the Drilling supervisor on the rig to make sure the chemicals are ordered and available on the rig on time.
• Liaises with cementing Engineer, shipping, Rep and the cement service companies in order to send the required equipment for the cement Job; such as the batch mixer, cement head as well as down hole and make sure they are available on time on the rig site while taking in consideration the weather forecast limitations.
• Helps Company cementing Engineer to investigate cement job failure, trouble – shoots cement job problems while determining corrective and remedial actions and measures to be reviewed.
• Makes sure that remedial actions and best practices are implemented correctly by cement service companies on site and on all cement jobs.
• Makes sure blend and cement sampling is performed as per Company standard.
• Prevents blend/cement contamination by controlling the transfer process from the bulker to the boat and into the rig silos.
• Attends and supervises cement jobs on the rig site and assure that job execution is as per the planned program. Make sure that the cement job records and report are submitted by cement service companies within 2 days from the job execution.
• Prepares a post job to be discussed with line manager during the job debrief.
• Works in line with HSE policy, and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.
